Ghanaian musician Choirmaster, a member of the music group Praye, has paid an emotional tribute following the reported death of his wife, actress Beverly Afaglo.
In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, the musician, known privately as Eugene Baah, described the late actress as his strength, happiness and greatest supporter.
“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo!!!” he wrote, expressing deep grief over the loss.
He noted that her passing comes just days before what would have been her birthday, making the moment even more painful for the family and loved ones.
“It would have been just four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you,” he wrote in a heartfelt tribute.
The emotional message has since triggered an outpouring of grief on social media, with fans, colleagues and figures within Ghana’s entertainment industry expressing shock and offering condolences.
Choirmaster also reflected on their life together, describing every moment shared with his wife, Beverly Afaglo, as a blessing he will forever cherish.
“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever,” parts of his post read.
He further pledged to continue the dreams and plans they had started together as a family.
“I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever. Sleep well my babe,” he added.
Choirmaster and Beverly Afaglo were widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most admired celebrity couples, often sharing glimpses of their family life with the public.
Afaglo, a well-known figure in Ghana’s film and television industry, earned widespread recognition for her performances in several productions over the years.
