Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has been honoured for his leadership after receiving the Outstanding Public Leadership Excellence Award at the 10th Ghana CEO Summit in Accra.
The award recognises his contribution to driving reforms and providing strategic direction within Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector since assuming office in January 2025.
Organisers of the summit said the recognition was based on his commitment to innovation, regulatory effectiveness and institutional strengthening within the sector.

Mr Tameklo has presided over a period of notable activity in Ghana’s petroleum sector, during which the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has implemented a range of measures aimed at improving efficiency, strengthening compliance, and enhancing the sector’s overall contribution to the national economy.
The recognition adds to a growing list of honours received by the NPA Chief Executive in acknowledgement of his leadership and public service record.
The award also reflects ongoing efforts to advance the Authority’s mandate while promoting transparency, professionalism, and high standards within the petroleum industry.
