Fiifi Parker Hanson joins Dreams FC as assistant coach from Golden Kick FC

Fiifi Parker Hanson has been appointed as the new assistant coach of Dreams FC ahead of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.

The 41-year-old coach, who led Golden Kick FC to their maiden FA Cup final during the 2024/2025 season, officially joins Dreams FC following a successful tenure marked by impressive tactical leadership and youth development achievements.

Hanson’s most notable accomplishment came last season when he guided the lower-tier Golden Kick FC to the MTN FA Cup final, where they narrowly lost 2-1 to Asante Kotoko.

His team’s journey to the final was historic, having eliminated top clubs such as Hearts of Oak and Karela United along the way.

Hanson expressed disappointment with the officiating in the final but praised the performance and resilience of his squad throughout the competition.

The coach’s tactical prowess and ability to develop young talent have earned him attention from several Ghanaian Premier League clubs. Prior to joining Dreams FC, Hanson was reportedly on the verge of becoming the assistant coach at Hearts of Oak.

However, negotiations with the Accra-based club fell through due to undisclosed reasons despite talks reaching an advanced stage.

Hanson had expressed openness to working alongside Hearts of Oak’s head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, a former colleague at Right to Dream Academy, but ultimately the deal did not materialize.

Dreams FC’s acquisition of Hanson is seen as part of their strategic restructuring ahead of the upcoming season. His experience and tactical insight are expected to bolster the club’s coaching staff, where he will work alongside head coach Winfred Dormon.

The club is eager to leverage Hanson’s expertise as they prepare to commence preseason training and strengthen their squad for a competitive league campaign.

Fiifi Parker Hanson’s coaching journey spans various roles, including technical director at Sporting Club Accra and scout at the Right to Dream Academy.

His appointment at Dreams FC marks his first foray into the Premier League coaching ranks, and he is poised to make a significant impact with his blend of tactical acumen and player
