Ghana's commitment to attracting foreign investments, strengthening international partnerships strong - GIPC Boss

Simon Madjie, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), has underscored Ghana’s commitment to attracting foreign investment and strengthening strategic international partnerships.

He made the remark when Myriam Montrat, Canada’s High Commissioner to Ghana, paid a courtesy call on him in Accra.

The meeting focused on exploring ways to deepen bilateral trade and investment relations between Ghana and Canada, particularly under the Canada–Ghana Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA).

Discussions also touched on collaboration within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and strategies to foster sustainable investment flows between the two countries.

Mr. Madjie said such engagements were crucial to strengthening Ghana’s investment climate, expanding trade linkages, and positioning the country as a competitive investment hub in West Africa.

He reaffirmed the GIPC’s commitment to facilitating partnerships that promote innovation, create employment, and drive inclusive economic growth.

Madam Montrat commended the GIPC for its efforts in promoting Ghana as a preferred investment destination and expressed Canada’s readiness to work closely with Ghana to enhance bilateral economic cooperation.
