Accra is gearing up for a flavour-packed revolution this Farmers’ Day Weekend as Charterhouse Productions prepares to debut the much-anticipated Gastro Feastival, Ghana’s boldest celebration of food, culture, and innovation.

Scheduled for December 5–6, 2025, the two-day culinary showcase will take over The Palms Convention Centre at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, bringing together farmers, chefs, creatives, policymakers, and food lovers for an immersive “farm-to-feast” experience unlike anything seen before.

The Gastro Feastival is more than an event; it’s a movement. Designed to reconnect Ghanaians with the origins of their food, spotlight opportunities across the agribusiness value chain, and elevate Ghana’s culinary identity, the festival blends gastronomy, culture, entertainment, and entrepreneurship into one dynamic platform.

A New Kind of Food Movement Begins: “Table of 8 – From Farm to Feast”

In the lead-up to the festival, Charterhouse has launched the Gastro Feastival ‘Table of 8’ podcast series, setting the tone for big conversations around Ghana’s food ecosystem. Hosted by Enyonam Manye (The Ghanaian Farmer), each episode convenes experts from across the agriculture and culinary space: farmers, investors, food entrepreneurs, chefs, and industry leaders, for deep, engaging conversations on how to unlock the full potential of Ghana’s food value chain.

The premiere episode explored cassava, Ghana’s underappreciated “white gold.” Guests included Farmer Abeiku Whyte of Farmers Market/Hobby Farms, agro-processor Charity Adupong of Meannan Foods, Kosmos Innovation Centre’s Esther Kyerewaa Twumasi, social media personality Ameyaw Debrah, Kojo Aidoo of Frontback & Accra Bar Show, Charterhouse CEO and Convenor Theresa Ayoade, and food culture advocate PaJohn.

The culinary experience matched the conversation — a cassava-inspired three-course dinner curated by PaJohn in collaboration with Chef Solomon Otoo Tetteh. From yuca roti with herby mushrooms to a silky bankyi mash paired with grilled cassava fish in PJ’s signature kobi sauce, ending in a cassava-infused cheesecake — each dish told a story of Ghana’s soil, creativity, and potential for gastronomic innovation.
