The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has begun a nationwide exhibition of its voter register as part of preparations for the party’s 2026 presidential election, in a move aimed at strengthening transparency and confidence in its internal electoral system.
In a statement issued by the party’s Presidential Elections Committee (PEC), the NPP confirmed that copies of the 2026 Presidential Elections Voter Register have been dispatched to all constituencies through the respective Regional Secretariats.
The notice, dated December 29, 2025 and signed by PEC Secretary William Yamoah, said the exercise is designed to allow party stakeholders—especially accredited delegates—to check and confirm their personal details at constituency and regional levels.
The verification process will enable the identification and correction of errors, including missing names, spelling mistakes, incorrect or absent photographs, and other clerical issues that could affect eligibility to vote in the primaries.
Regional and Constituency Executive Committees, working through their assigned IT officers, have been instructed to document and submit all identified discrepancies for immediate correction.
The exhibition is scheduled to run from Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to Monday, January 5, 2026.
The party has appealed to Regional and Constituency Executives, members of the Constituency Council of Elders, Constituency Patrons and Electoral Area Coordinators to provide the necessary support to ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise nationwide.
In addition, all presidential aspirants have been invited to nominate representatives to observe the exhibition at the constituency level, as part of measures to guarantee openness and fairness.
The NPP said the initiative underscores its commitment to a free, fair and credible internal electoral process ahead of the 2026 presidential race.
