The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Hon. Selorm Philibert Fummey, has, through support from the central government under President John Dramani Mahama and the Ministry of Social Welfare and Community Development (SWCD), provided aid to people with disabilities in the first quarter of the year.
The support includes essential items such as sewing machines, fufu pounding machines, gas ovens, containers, charcoal, and bags of maize, all based on recommendations from the beneficiaries themselves.
Hon. Fummey urged the recipients to use the items wisely, emphasizing that responsible use will lead to positive results and greater self-sufficiency.
Madam Frimpongmaa Oduro, the Municipal Director of Social Welfare and Community Development, also addressed the beneficiaries, highlighting the details of the Disability Act and the importance of utilizing the support provided to make a meaningful impact on their lives.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to both President Mahama and the MCE for the invaluable assistance, which they believe will help improve their livelihoods.
