NPP Opens Polling Station Election Nominations, Warns Against Bulk Form Purchases

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened nominations for its polling station executive elections nationwide, setting the stage for a major grassroots reorganisation ahead of its internal polls later this year.

In the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, the party’s Secretary, Halifax Amandeh, said nomination forms will be available from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, 2026.

The exercise marks the first step in a broader restructuring process that will eventually lead to the election of national executives in September 2026.

Party members interested in contesting positions—including Polling Station Chairman, Secretary, Organiser, Treasurer, Women’s Organiser, Research and Elections Officer, Communications Officer, and Youth Organiser—are expected to pick up their forms within the stated period.
Forms are selling at GH¢10 and can be obtained at designated electoral areas such as Sefwi Bekwai, Asawinso, Awaso and Anhwiaso.

Mr Amandeh noted that any grievances arising from the process will be addressed within a stipulated timeframe after vetting.

He also cautioned aspirants and party stakeholders against the bulk purchase of nomination forms, stressing that each form is meant for an individual aspirant.

According to him, the directive is intended to ensure fairness, transparency and equal opportunity for all candidates.

The party has reiterated its commitment to a transparent and credible process and urged all participants to strictly adhere to the guidelines to promote unity at the grassroots level.
