Social media reacts to police shoot-out with armed robbers at Kpone

The fatal shoot-out between armed robbers and the Tema Regional Police Command at Kpone has sparked a wave of reactions online, with many Ghanaians both praising the police and expressing concerns over rising insecurity in parts of the Greater Accra Region.

A user on X with the handle @B6ADASS questioned the increasing insecurity, saying, “Ei what’s happening these days in Tema, Ashaiman and Kpone environs? So many criminal activities and killings in recent times have been rampant. Ghana Police, do something about this!”

Another user, @Brayhaw_281093, praised the police, saying, “Well done GP. God give you the strength to serve your country.”

@cita1141225 added, “Good work Ghana Police. There are a lot that need to be arrested for Ghana to have its freedom.”

Sharing a troubling development, @LiLSuap tweeted, “This is what we love to hear and see our Police do. Keep up the good work. Last three days an Uber driver was killed around the same place — Community 25 getting to Dawhenya.”

The Ghana Police Service has, meanwhile, assured the public of its commitment to maintaining peace and security, as efforts continue to arrest the remaining suspects of the shooting incident who had reportedly escaped.
