Agona Nyarkrom Incident: Woman in Her 50s Assaulted Over Alleged Affair Claim

A woman believed to be in her early 50s has reportedly been assaulted at Agona Nyarkrom in the Agona West District of the Central Region over allegations of having an affair with a married man.

The victim, identified as Patricia Aidoo, was allegedly attacked by the wife of a teacher in the community after residents reportedly informed her of the suspected relationship.

According to reports, Patricia had visited the school where the man works, prompting some residents to alert his wife.

The woman is said to have rushed to the school premises, confronted Patricia and allegedly assaulted her severely.

Patricia sustained injuries during the incident and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The matter has since been reported to the Agona police for investigation.

Speaking after the incident, Patricia Aidoo denied claims that she was having an affair with the married man.

She explained that there had been a power outage in her area, forcing her to step outside to get some fresh air because the house was too dark.

According to Patricia, she decided to sit outside the school when the suspect suddenly approached her and accused her of having a relationship with her husband — an allegation she insists is false.

Latest reports indicate that the suspect has been arrested and is expected to appear before court.
