The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has launched a nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise dubbed “Operation All Must Pay” to recover outstanding debts from customers across the country.
The exercise, which began on Tuesday, September 9 and is set to end on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, will target all categories of customers with arrears, including residential, commercial, industrial, and Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
According to ECG in a statement, the initiative will involve bill distribution, Streetlight and SHEP meter capturing and reporting.

It said special task teams will monitor the exercise and are mandated to apprehend and prosecute individuals engaged in illegal connections, self-reconnections after disconnection, or attempts to obstruct the exercise.
Customers in arrears are urged to settle their bills promptly to avoid disconnection and subsequent payment of reconnection fees.
ECG has also encouraged customers to use regular payment channels, including the ECG Mobile App, or visit the nearest ECG office for assistance if they cannot access their bills.
The company stated that the mobilisation drive is aimed at enhancing efficiency and ensuring reliable service delivery.
