‘Don’t Judge the MP by How Often You See Him’ – Dormaa Central NDC Communications Officer

The Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Dormaa Central Constituency, Hon. Eric Yeboah Kyeremeh, has dismissed concerns over the perceived absence of the Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. John Kwame Adu Jack, insisting that the lawmaker’s performance should be judged by his achievements rather than how often he is seen within the constituency.

Responding to the recurring claim by some residents that “we don’t see our MP,” Mr. Kyeremeh said an MP’s success should ultimately be measured by the impact of his work over his four-year mandate and not by his physical presence in every community.

He encouraged constituents to shift their attention from demanding the MP’s constant visibility to advocating for projects and policies that promote development and improve livelihoods.

According to him, Dormaa Central comprises 105 communities, making it practically impossible for every resident to witness the MP’s activities firsthand. He noted that while some people may not see the MP regularly, Hon. Dr. John Kwame Adu Jack has continued to visit Dormaa Ahenkro and other parts of the constituency to supervise and facilitate development projects.

Mr. Kyeremeh maintained that the MP’s record over the past one year and six months compares favourably with that of previous Members of Parliament who represented Dormaa Central during a similar period.

He cited several key initiatives undertaken under the MP’s leadership, including the facilitation of a 30-bed health facility, a 15-bed health facility, the establishment of a permanent Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) office in Dormaa Ahenkro, as well as the completion of several GETFund projects.

He described these achievements as clear evidence of the MP’s commitment to the development of the constituency, arguing that they reflect a strong performance since assuming office.

Mr. Kyeremeh acknowledged that although the municipality still faces several development challenges, the MP has made significant efforts to secure projects that will benefit residents.

He identified road infrastructure as one of the major concerns confronting the constituency, pointing to the Aboabo, PAAM, Asensu and Amasu roads as key projects yet to be completed.

According to him, the completion of these roads would improve transportation, stimulate economic activity and strengthen public confidence in the governing NDC.

He therefore appealed to residents to remain patient and continue supporting the MP and other relevant stakeholders as efforts continue to secure the necessary resources to complete the road projects and accelerate development across the Dormaa Central Constituency.
