The Achimota Golf Club is hosting the Lady Captain’s Prize 2026 today, Saturday, March 21, bringing together golfers for a day of competition and community engagement.
Led by Lady Captain Louanges Mang, the event seeks not only to celebrate excellence on the course but also to support the development of golf among underprivileged girls, creating opportunities for the next generation of talent.
Organisers say that proceeds from the tournament, along with associated activities, will be used to introduce young girls to golf, provide training, build confidence, and create opportunities for future talent.
The competition kicked off with a rolling tee-off at 6:30 a.m. and is scheduled to run until 12:00 p.m., followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m.
A prize-giving ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. to recognise outstanding performers.
The Lady Captain’s Prize is part of Achimota Golf Club’s ongoing efforts to use golf as a tool for social impact while encouraging greater participation in the sport.
