Head of Finance and Investment at the Ghana Commodity Exchange, Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe, has been honoured for his pioneering contributions towards Financial Literacy in Ghana at the just-ended 9th edition of the Forty Under 40 Awards held on September 5th, 2025.
The esteemed recognition underscores his exceptional contribution in translating his decade of experience in Financial Management to creatively write books that are impacting this generation in the areas of business and personal financing, and also for being an extremely respected personality advocating for best practices in the educational landscape.

Albert has authored three influential books: How to Raise Capital for Your Startup Business, Money Health, and Money Behaviour. These books have impacted thousands through masterclasses, workshops, media, and community outreach. Beyond publishing, he serves as a trainer, lecturer, and mentor advancing financial empowerment across Ghana.
Held at the Labadi Beach Hotel Coast Hotel, the Iconic award, organised by Xodus Communications Limited with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, seeks to identify, honour and celebrate individuals under the age of 40 playing a significant role in the growth and development of their business sector while recognizing the key functions within the sector that promotes growth and sustainability. The award scheme is also a benchmark of excellence for companies’ performance despite the recurring challenges.

Albert Nii Tagoe has redefined book publishing and mentorship with- customer-centric approach and innovative service delivery. His commitment to creating a “WOW Experience ” through his books has impacted many with his warm hospitality, open communication, and world-class care that has resonated with clients and industry peers alike.

He has donated over six hundred (600) copies of his books to universities, schools, churches and various communities to support the development of Financial Literacy, which ultimately supports the development of our country.

The event was attended by high-profile dignitaries, including representatives from the Ghana government, diplomatic corps, traditional institutions and many more.
ABOUT ALBERT NII AYI TAGOE AND PROFILE OF WORK
Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe is a dynamic Finance professional and an Author whose influence spans Capital markets, Agricultural financing, and Financial literacy. As the youngest senior management member of the Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX), Albert has played a key role in shaping GCX’s financial strategy since its inception, serving as Head of Finance and Investment, and has successfully translated his experience over the years in Financial Management to creatively write books that are impacting this generation in the areas of business and personal financing.
GCX’s profitability grew from GHS 4.97 Million in 2023 to GHS 27.94 Million in 2024, and he led the facilitation and raising of GHS 1 Million under the Warehouse receipt financing facility and GHS 20 Million under Aggregation financing for Members of GCX. As part of his work, he served as a Project Consultant working with the World Bank and International Finance Corporation (IFC) on its annual nationwide training for all the rural banks, aggregators and smallholder farmers on warehouse receipt financing and Aggregation financing. Albert has also worked with other developmental partners and has contributed to national financial frameworks for agricultural resilience and rural development.

Albert holds an MBA in Finance (Coventry University, UK – Distinction), and he is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CIMA-UK) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Ghana (ICAG-Ghana). He also earned First Class Honours in the Accounting option from Valley View University, along with professional credentials in investment and securities.
Beyond his technical prowess, Albert is a passionate financial literacy advocate. He is the Author of three(3) influential books—How to Raise Capital for Your Start-Up, Money Health, and Money Behaviour—which have reached thousands of people across Ghana through speaking engagements, radio shows, and workshops. His work has impacted students, entrepreneurs, and professionals nationwide.
Albert’s thought leadership includes being a JOY FM Masterclass guest lecturer, Business Insider Show radio guest on SUNNY FM, Graphic Business Challenge Judge, Climate Launchpad Ghana Business ideas competition Judge, Ashesi Entrepreneurship Centre trainer, Carghill Ghana trainer, Oxford African Women Leadership institutes’ (OAWLI) trainer, and Global Heart Foundations’ trainer. He has donated over six hundred 600 books to schools, churches & communities, and national events, using his personal success to elevate others.
His achievements have earned him recognition as one of Ghana’s Change Maker Award winners in the Book Writing Category issued by the World Conference of Mayors in March 2025 at the National Youth Shakers Award. He was the winner of the Forty Under 40 Authorship and Creative Writing Category (2024). He was also awarded and recognised as one of the Top 50 Influential CFOs in Ghana (2023 and 2024) and also awarded as part of the Top 30 Public Sector Finance Leaders in Ghana (2022).
Currently, he serves on the council of the National Academy of Students’ Achievement Awards Ghana (NASAAG-Ghana), and contributes to student mentorship, coaching and talent development across the country, while supporting financial literacy initiatives among students in Ghana. He currently leads his residents’ association to promote community development.
Albert exemplifies ethical leadership, financial innovation, and a deep commitment to social change, making him a standout leader in Ghana’s evolving economic landscape.
