Asantehene Returns to Ghana on Ibrahim Mahama’s Private Jet
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has returned to Ghana after a vacation in South Africa, arriving in style on businessman Ibrahim Mahama’s private jet.


Otumfuo Osei Tutu II departed Pretoria, South Africa, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, marking his return with the dignity and grandeur befitting his royal status.



Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Benjamin Anani Quashie, along with staff of the High Commission, were at the airport to bid him farewell.

A video shared on X showed the Asantehene boarding the Dzata jet, a private aircraft owned by Ibrahim Mahama, after exchanging cordial farewells with the High Commission staff.

Back home in Kumasi, the Asantehene was warmly received at Prempeh I International Airport by a delegation of his chiefs, including Nana Mamponghene, Oheneba Hiahene, Asantehene Ba Oheneba Kwaku Dua, and Asanteman Zongo Nkosuohene, celebrating his royal homecoming.
