
The Ashaiman Circuit Court has remanded into police custody four accused persons arrested for the possession of 315 compressed parcels suspected to be Indian hemp.
The court, according to the Tema Police Command, further ordered that the truck with registration number GN 7291-16, in which the Indian hemp was concealed, be impounded till further notice.
The four, Nura Sali, 44 years; Pius Chukwuma, 449 years; Mustapha Umar, 18 years; and Abdulai Amayau, 23 years, were remanded to reappear before the court on Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
The four were arrested on Monday, September 08, 2025, based on a tip-off, with the parcels concealed in the tyres of the truck, which was intercepted and impounded during the operation.
