Chief of Staff Julius Debrah inspires citizens on the power of walking

Chief of Staff Hon. Julius Debrah has called on Ghanaians to embrace walking as a simple yet powerful tool for healthy living, unity, and national progress.

Speaking at the Asempa 94.7 FM “Walk With the Stars” event in Accra, he emphasized that walking is not just an activity but a way of life that strengthens both body and spirit.

“God did not create us to be idle,” Mr. Debrah declared. “He did not create us to spend our lives sitting down or sleeping all day. God created us to move — to walk, to work, and to live actively.”

He encouraged citizens to see walking as a lifestyle that prevents sickness and enhances wellness. “Walking reduces the risk of illness. I can boldly say that everyone who joined us in this great walk today has invested in five extra years of good health!” he said to loud cheers from participants.

The Chief of Staff urged Ghanaians of all ages—youth, parents, community leaders, and children—to adopt walking as a daily routine. “Even if it is just around your home, or taking a short walk with your family in the evening, it will make a difference. Every time there is a walk, be part of it. And even when there is no organized walk, create one in your community, your school, your workplace, or your neighborhood.”

Mr. Debrah highlighted that a nation whose citizens walk regularly is a nation positioned for greater progress. “A country with citizens who walk is a country that will live longer, think sharper, and move faster. Health is not just about hospitals—it is about prevention, lifestyle, and the daily choices we make.”

He concluded with a stirring call to action: “Let us walk, not only for fitness, but for discipline, for unity, and for the future of Ghana. God bless you all, and God bless our beloved country.”

The “Walk With the Stars” brought together hundreds of participants, uniting communities under the banner of health, wellness, and national pride.
