Former Board Chairman of the Volta River Authority (VRA), Kofi Tutu Agyare, has dismissed claims circulating on social media that he has endorsed Kennedy Agyapong in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential race.
In a statement, the former VRA chairman, who reaffirmed his support for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, said the claims suggesting he had joined Mr Agyapong’s campaign were “false” and intended to “mislead” the public.
“My attention has been drawn to claims that I have joined Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign. I wish to state that this claim is false and intended to mislead the general public on where my support is,” the statement read.
“I remain committed to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the best candidate to win power for the NPP in 2028,” Mr Agyare added, urging NPP delegates to “massively” vote for Dr Bawumia in the January election.
Just days ago, former NPP National Chairman, Peter Mac Manu, also denied similar claims that he had endorsed Kennedy Agyapong, describing the social media reports as fabricated.
