New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has pledged to run a “principled, ideas-driven, and decorous” campaign ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries.
In a statement following a breakfast meeting with former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and other aspirants in Nima, Dr Adutwum emphasised that his approach to leadership was guided by values rather than ambition.
“Leadership, to me, is about integrity, inspiration, and the collective pursuit of national prosperity — not personal ambition,” he asserted.
The former Education Minister said his campaign would focus on ideas and service, highlighting the importance of constructive engagement as he continues his nationwide consultations with party delegates.
Dr Adutwum, who has been widely recognised for his education sector reforms, said the NPP must project a culture of discipline and mutual respect during the campaign season.
“The NPP has always stood for discipline, progress, and tradition. Let us uphold these values as we work together toward victory in 2028 and beyond,” he stated.
He expressed optimism that a united and focused party could “lead Ghana into a new era of growth, stability, and transformation.”
