The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has been named State-Owned Enterprise of the Year at the prestigious Public Enterprise League Table (PELT) Awards, solidifying its reputation as one of Ghana’s leading public institutions.
In a remarkable showing, GoldBod also took home Overall Best Specified Entity and Most Profitable State-Owned Enterprise, completing a notable triple win.
Organised by the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), the PELT Awards celebrate excellence, efficiency, and strong financial performance among Ghana’s state-owned enterprises and specified entities.

GoldBod’s success highlights its expanding influence and effectiveness in Ghana’s economic and extractive sectors.

Accepting the awards on behalf of the Board, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Richard Nunekpeku thanked SIGA for the recognition, calling it a reflection of the dedication and hard work of the institution’s leadership and staff.

“We are proud of reaching this milestone, but our focus remains on pushing further to surpass our targets and achieve even greater results,” he said.

GoldBod’s milestone is set to strengthen investor confidence while highlighting the company’s pivotal role in advancing Ghana’s resource management and supporting the nation’s broader economic transformation.
