The National Information Technology Agency (NITA), has announced a temporary disruption to the government’s official email platform.
NITA acknowledged the critical role the government email system plays in facilitating official communication and delivering essential public services.
It assured institutions and stakeholders that all necessary measures were being taken to restore normal operations.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, 27th August, NITA indicated that its technical team had identified the source of the outage and was working diligently to restore services as quickly as possible.
“We understand the importance of this platform in supporting government communication and public service delivery, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this disruption may cause,” the statement read.
The agency pledged to provide regular updates on the progress of the restoration process and expressed gratitude to government workers and the public for their patience and cooperation.
NITA reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the issue promptly and ensuring the continued reliability of the government’s digital infrastructure.
