Medeama Coach Ibrahim Tanko Blames Slow Start for Defeat Against Dreams FC

Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has attributed his team’s 2-1 loss to Dreams FC over the weekend to a slow start in the match.

The Tarkwa-based side fell at the Tuba AstroTurf on matchday 26 of the Ghana Premier League, surrendering their top-of-the-table position to Bibiani GoldStars.

Tanko acknowledged his team’s early mistakes but emphasized the need to focus on upcoming fixtures.

“We started very slowly, and Dreams FC were the better side in the opening 20 minutes,” Tanko said after the game. “However, we gradually found our rhythm and grew into the match. In the second half, we dominated play and scored a beautiful goal, but unfortunately, time was not on our side, and we ended up losing.”

Looking ahead, Tanko stressed the importance of maintaining focus for the remainder of the season. “Now our attention shifts to the next game. We must work hard to secure maximum points. With eight matches remaining, we will prepare thoroughly and approach each one with determination.”

Medeama will be hoping to recover from recent inconsistent performances as they aim to finish the season strongly.
