Helicopter Crash: Let’s celebrate what the victims stood for – Nene Drolor Bosso Adamtey I

The Greater Accra Representative on the Council of State, Nene Drolor Bosso Adamtey I, has urged Ghanaians to unite in grief while celebrating the lives of the victims of the recent helicopter crash.

Speaking to GhanaWeb TV on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the National Democratic Congress Headquarters in Accra, he said, “The Bible says that pain and sorrow may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. This is a wake-up call for all of us, not only to grieve in this moment, but to remember that we are one family and must show concern, care, and support for one another.”

While acknowledging the deep pain that comes with loss, Nene Drolor Bosso Adamtey I reminded the nation that “death is not something we can humanly celebrate. It’s always a pain, but ultimately, none of us can determine the future.”

He called on Ghanaians to focus on the legacies left behind, “We grieve their deaths, but we celebrate their lives, what they stood for, and what they have done for our precious country.”

The Ghana Armed Forces Z-9 military helicopter crashed on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
