The KGL Foundation has completed extensive renovation works at the Physiotherapy Centre of the Tema General Hospital, providing a much-needed facelift and functional upgrade to the Centre.
As the leading referral center in the industrial city close to three major highways, namely Tema to Accra Motorway, Tema to Aflao Highways, and Tema to Akosombo Highway, the facility also serves the needs of a number of patients from nearby communities such as Ashaiman, Afienya, Dawhenya, and Prampram, among others.

The project involved the procurement of modern gym machinery and air conditioners, as well as the refurbishment of the staff common room, kitchen, and gym areas.
Additional works included rewiring and upgrading of the entire lighting system, installation of new fans, and ceiling replacements to ensure safety and comfort for staff and patients.

These improvements have transformed the facility into a more conducive and fully functional environment, supporting its mandate to deliver essential wellness services to the community.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of the KGL Foundation, Elliot Dadey, said, “Healthcare in Ghana remains deeply underfunded, hence the decision to embark on the philanthropic gesture.”

The Medical Director and Consultant General Surgeon at the Tema General Hospital, Dr Richard Anthony said the gesture was timely and would significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide quality healthcare to clients under their care.

‘’It will help improve quality of care and reduce patients from going to the city center and Accra for Physiotherapy services”.
