Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has assured fans that the team will give everything to overcome league champions Bibiani GoldStars in the Champion-of-Champions clash on Sunday.
The FA Cup holders will square off with the reigning Premier League winners at Duns Park on August 31, with the winner set to lift the coveted trophy.
Kotoko head into the contest on the back of a disappointing run in the GHALCA Top Four, where they lost all three games.
Amoah insists the players must sharpen their finishing to avoid another setback.
“From our past games with them, we created a lot of chances, so we just need to work on converting them,” Amoah told Kotoko Media.
“In football, there’s losing, drawing, and winning, we’ve already lost once, and we are not going to repeat it. This time, we’ll focus on finishing and take our chances.”
The record Ghana Premier League champions go into the new season buoyed by last year’s trophy haul, which included the FA Cup, President’s Cup, and the Toyota Cup secured against South African giants Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
