Among the distinguished honorees was Mr. Albin Akansake, owner of Marlin Beach Resort, who was crowned Indigenous Tourism Investment Developer of the Year.

The award recognises exceptional Ghanaian entrepreneurs whose investments have significantly advanced the nation’s tourism sector.

Mr. Akansake’s contributions through Marlin Beach Resort, Ghana’s first-ever all-inclusive resort, earned him resounding praise from both industry experts and the awarding board.

Speaking to the media moments after receiving the award, Mr. Akansake expressed deep gratitude.

“I feel honoured that the institution charged to regulate our industry has recognised my effort and how it has helped contribute to boosting Ghana’s tourism industry,” he said.

When asked about the future direction of his establishment, he emphasised Marlin Beach’s continuous commitment to excellence.

“The way forward is that Marlin will do its part by improving on its already good customer service to our customers, and upgrading its magnificent infrastructure to make it a final destination not just for tourists from Africa, but across the world,” he stated.

He further highlighted the resort’s unique place in Ghana’s hospitality landscape:

“Marlin Beach Resort is located at Gomoa Fetteh Nyanyano Road in the Central Region, and it is Ghana’s first ever all-inclusive resort.”
