Mimlife Records to embark on ‘no to red’ campaign with 2025 Walkathon

Mimlife Records will hold its 11th annual Walkathon in Tema on 5th December 2025, with a strong focus on raising awareness about the growing abuse of the drug known as “red”.

This year’s walk is dedicated to cautioning young people about the dangers of the substance, a mix of tapentadol and carisoprodol that has been increasingly misused by sections of the youth.

The walk will start at the BBC Station in Tema Community 2 and end at George’s Pub in the same community.

A health expert will address participants at the finishing point to provide further education.

Mubarak Nkrumah, Chief Executive Officer of Mimlife Records, has described the rise in drug abuse as a major threat to the future of young people. He said rejecting hard drugs is vital for safeguarding their lives and ambitions.

Mimlife Records, established in 2014 by Nkrumah, has grown into one of Tema Community 2’s leading entertainment companies. The label has supported the community through various initiatives including breast cancer screenings, COVID 19 relief donations and local football tournaments.

The label has also announced a major concert slated for 1st January 2026 in Tema, described as one of the biggest shows to usher Ghana into the new year.

Mimlife Records currently manages artistes Mista Myles, Kimilist and Kwame Yesu.
