The National Peace Council (NPC) is set to roll out a peace education programme in Senior High Schools.
This forms part of its 2025 capacity development and advocacy initiatives aimed at promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence among young people.
In an official invitation addressed to JoyNews and other media organisations, the Council announced that the first engagement will take place on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025, at Christian Methodist Senior High School in New Aplaku near Weija, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
According to the NPC, the initiative is designed to instill values of peace, tolerance, and nonviolent conflict resolution among students.
The Council believes that empowering young people with these skills is crucial in building a more harmonious society and preventing violence before it occurs.
