Our Lady of Grace Senior High School (OLAG) from the Ashanti Region has continued their remarkable rise in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), posting an emphatic 71 points to top their group in a thrilling preliminary contest at the SGS Auditorium.
They finished comfortably ahead of Benkum SHS, who put up a solid 50 points, and Prampram SHS, who are making their first national appearance managed 31 points.

Even though Benkum SHS outshone OLAG in the Problem of the Day with a perfect 10 out of 10 compared to OLAG’s 6 out of 10, the Ashanti-based private school’s dominance across all other rounds ensured a commanding overall victory and a smooth qualification to the one-eighth stage of the national championship.
This latest triumph adds another chapter to OLAG’s fast-growing reputation. Earlier this year, they made history by becoming the first private school to reach the Ashanti Region Zonal Championship Final, a feat that underscored their strength and determination against traditional regional giants. Their regional campaign showcased precision, teamwork, and poise under pressure traits that have now followed them to the national stage.

With 71 points, one of the highest scores recorded so far in the prelims, OLAG has sent a clear message that their regional success was no accident.
Meanwhile, Benkum SHS’s 50 points could still prove decisive, as it places them in strong contention for qualification as one of the best five runners-up from the prelims.
