Queen Mother Raises Concern Over Growing Disrespect for Traditional Leadership

The Queen Mother of Senase, Nana Adwoa Adjiewaa Dufie, has raised concern over what she describes as a growing decline in respect for traditional authorities.

Speaking at a ceremony in Abi, she urged newly enstooled queen mothers to remain grounded in their cultural values and traditions.

She specifically advised the Ankobeahemaa and Kotrihemaa to take time to learn the customs of their people and fully embrace their roles as custodians of tradition.

Nana Adwoa Adjiewaa Dufie also called on the youth within royal families to stay committed to their education and personal growth.

According to her, leadership is not just about spiritual calling, but a responsibility that requires preparation, discipline and readiness to serve when the time comes.

In her closing remarks, the Queen Mother of Abi, Nana Afia Bermaa III, encouraged the newly installed queen mothers to remain vigilant and dedicated to their duties, stressing the need to be responsive and dependable in service to their communities and traditional leaders.
