Telecel Ghana has launched the 8th edition of its annual flagship Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Month. This is aimed at reinforcing its commitment to supporting the growth and sustainability of small and medium enterprises across the country.

Under the theme, ‘Connecting the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs,’ the company is dedicating the month of September to equipping youth-led businesses with the right tools, networks, and opportunities to grow.

Speaking to the media, Director of Enterprise Business and Wholesale at Telecel Ghana, Tawa Bolarin, said the company remains committed to helping young businesses flourish.

“At Telecel, we believe the future of Ghana’s economy lies in the hands of young business leaders who are harnessing technology, fresh ideas, and innovative models to solve real challenges. SME Month 2025 is designed to provide platforms, networks, and the opportunities that enable them to scale,” she said.

Since its inception in 2017, Telecel Ghana’s SME Month has provided a dedicated platform for capacity-building, networking, market visibility for SMEs, and knowledge sharing. This enables entrepreneurs to leverage connectivity and digital solutions to grow and remain competitive.

This year’s edition will spotlight innovative, youth-led enterprises and technology-driven businesses run by young Ghanaians who are breaking barriers and reimagining the future of businesses.

As part of this year’s celebration, Tawa Bolarin revealed that Telecel Ghana has introduced three tailored packages to support young businesses. These packages are designed to ease operational challenges while providing access to resources and digital solutions that will help entrepreneurs scale their ventures.

“The BOSS plan is a plan that comes with your ability to call and message any network. More importantly, you have a data plan for your business and social media. You have a self-service marketing campaign that can allow you to be able to connect and promote your messages and your products across. Then we have the One Business plan which also brings a community of young, the same employees that work within the same organization together so that they can share data, collaborate and we can also help them design and maintain a website for them. And then we have the Your Business Online which now comes with your own business email address, as well as a domain name for your business and a professionally built website that we do on the behalf of the business,” she stated.
