The Director-General of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Service, Engineer. Dr. Eric Kofi Adzroe, has called for stronger collaboration between the government and the private sector to bridge Ghana’s skills gap and create sustainable jobs.
Speaking to Joy Business at the inaugural Platinum Dealers Day in Accra, Dr. Adzroe emphasised that deeper partnerships are essential in aligning training with industry needs, equipping young people with relevant skills, and driving national development.
“Stronger public-private partnerships are critical to ensuring that training is aligned with the demands of industry. This is the surest way to empower young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship in today’s rapidly changing economy,” Dr. Adzroe said.
The event brought together industry players, partners, and stakeholders to discuss growth, innovation, and community support.
Dr. Adzroe noted that technical and vocational education must be positioned as a key driver of employment creation and entrepreneurship, particularly as Ghana prepares its workforce for future economic transformation.
The General Manager of Platinum Impex, Ahmad Taan, also stressed the importance of building effective partnerships to promote sustainable development.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Platinum Impex launched its first CSR project at the event, signaling its commitment to give back to the Ghanaian community.
