UB Cliftons celebrates one year with affordable housing push ahead of Republic Bank-Luv FM habitat fair

UB Cliftons is strengthening its push for affordable and reliable housing as it marks one year of development and prepares to take centre stage at the Republic Bank-Luv FM Habitat Fair.

Project Lead, Kwame Ofori Atta, emphasised that the estate was established out of a need to serve Kumasi’s growing middle-income population and the many diaspora families searching for trustworthy developers to build for them.

The project began in November 2024 and has now reached a stage where public engagement is essential. This informed the decision to officially launch the estate ahead of the Republic Bank-Luv Fm Habitat Fair, a platform he describes as critical for connecting developers, suppliers, and prospective homeowners.

The Grand Launch of UB Clifton Showroom at 13th Court, a 16-unit gated community at Akropong, Kumasi, provided an opportunity for visitors to experience the estate firsthand and learn about its unique features.

According to Mr. Ofori Atta, the event opens the space for meaningful interaction, helping the public understand available opportunities while giving exhibitors the visibility they need.

“I think it is an event that brings suppliers and contractors close to the general public and then allow them to interact, understand what is happening,” he said.

He stressed that without exhibitions like this, many people may never discover developments such as UB Clifton, making the fair an important avenue for awareness.

Affordability remains at the heart of the project’s design, said Mr Ofori Atta. He revealed that UB Clifton currently offers its two-bedroom units at GHC 850,000 and its three-bedroom units at GHC 950,000.

He indicated that these prices are being kept stable for now, but may be reviewed after the fair.

The commissioning ceremony attracted other key sponsors of the Republic Bank-Luv FM Habitat Fair, reinforcing the shared vision of promoting accessible housing and supporting credible developers within the region.

Mr Ofori Atta expressed appreciation to patrons who have supported the project so far and encouraged more prospective buyers to take advantage of the development while prices remain unchanged.

As he put it, “they should patronise and then be our client for the future.”

He emphasised that UB Cliftons was built with a unique concept and style to make it easier for commercial buyers to embrace, especially in a market where entry can be challenging.

With Kumasi’s significant diaspora links and a sizable middle-income population, he believes the estate responds directly to existing housing needs and trust gaps.
