Police Ladies duo Sarah Nyarko and Margaret Agyapomaa were named in the Best XI of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
The two players starred for the Ghana Women’s Premier League champions in Cote d’Ivoire despite their inability to clinch the ticket to represent the region.
Sarah featured in all five of Police Ladies’ games in the tournament, scoring two goals in the process while also assisting another.
Having joined the club on loan for the tournament, Sarah was a torn in the flesh of many defenders on every occasion down the left wing or right wing.
Margaret, on the other hand, was a key figure at the back for the team as they only managed a fourth-place finish at the end of the competition.
The central defender missed the opening game due to illness, but was available and featured in the remainder of the games.
