Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey made his debut for Villareal in the club’s final pre-season friendly game against Premier League side Aston Villa on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Thomas Partey was introduced in the 73rd minute but he couldn’t really help his team as they were already losing 2-0 to Aston Villa before his introduction in the game.
The former Arsenal midfielder was given only 15 minutes by his coach, Marcelino García Toral but the Ghanaian made the most out of it.
Partey completed all his passes accurately and also won all the tackles he attempted in the game against Villa.
Aston Villa beat Villareal 2-0 at the Estadio de la Ceramica just over 24 hours after losing 3-1 to Marseille at the Stade Velodrome in France.
Villa manager, Unai Emery returned to his former club and saw his side secure victory thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins and Emi Buendia.
