‘Shatta Wale should just tell EOCO the truth about the Lamborghini’ – DJ Slim argues

Media personality DJ Slim has taken aim at Dancehall musician Shatta Wale, urging him to come clean and disclose to the public and the EOCO the true ownership of the 2019 Lamborghini Urus, which was seized from his residence due to its connection to a fraud case.

DJ Slim’s call comes after EOCO, on August 5, 2025, confirmed that the luxury vehicle had been taken from Shatta Wale’s possession.

According to EOCO, the vehicle is linked to convicted Ghanaian American, Nana Kwabena Amuah, who was said to have been involved in a multi-million-dollar romance scam and business email compromise scheme in the United States.

Investigators believe the Lamborghini was purchased with proceeds from these crimes.

The car was in Shatta Wale’s possession at the time of the seizure, but DJ Slim questioned the artiste’s public claim that he bought the vehicle from a third party.

In a discussion with GhanaWeb Entertainment on X Space, he argued that if Shatta Wale truly acquired it legitimately, he should have no problem providing the name of the person who sold it to him.

He alleged that Shatta Wale is not telling the truth and that the Lamborghini does not belong to him.

According to Slim, the car was only kept at Shatta Wale’s residence as part of a business arrangement with the owners of Dream Car Collection, a luxury car rental company.

Under this arrangement, the vehicle could be retrieved and used for events or clients when needed.

DJ Slim went on to give examples of occasions where the Lamborghini was used for other purposes, including appearances at the Ghana Report event, and by Gospel musician Joe Mettle.

“I wonder what he seeks to achieve, this issue is very simple. If we are running with the Shatta narrative of ‘I bought a stolen car’ or ‘I bought a car from a third party’ just produce the third party and then you are good, you are clean, you don’t even need to worry about anything.

“He can’t do that because he is caught between a hard place and a rock, he still comes out telling the world that he bought the car whiles he knows perfectly that is not the case. It’s an agreement between him and the owners of Dream Car Collection that they would come for the car. It is not just the yellow Lamborghini, the Escalade is also part of it, several cars you have seen in his music video are a part of it from 2024 till now.

He added, “… it’s a rental so definitely if there is an event and they have people who are in need of a Lamborghini, they would definitely go for it and use in for work and then return it to Shatta Wale. It’s a type of relationship that they have. All he needs to do is tell the world or EOCO that this is it, so he can be freed that the car eno be my own but he is still telling the world that the car is his and that is where the issue is.”

Meanwhile, before the X space on August 8, 2025, GhanaWeb’s team reached out to Shatta Wale’s camp to have him participate in the discussion.

However, after a brief conversation, his representative did not follow up on the invitation.
