The Presiding Bishop of Victory Bible Churches International (VBCI), Rt. Rev. N.A. Tackie-Yarboi, has opened up about his journey from aspiring pharmacist to devoted pastor during an interview on Joy FM’s Personality Profile with Lexis Bill.
Bishop Tackie-Yarboi revealed that his initial academic pursuit was inspired by his father, who was a pharmacist.
“I went to do science because I wanted to be a pharmacist,” he explained. “My father was a pharmacist, so I saw him mixing chemicals just for the joy of it.”
However, after accepting Christ, his focus shifted dramatically.
“But along the line, when I accepted Christ, I couldn’t focus on my studies, so I ended up becoming a pastor,” he confessed.
He recounted the challenges of balancing his new spiritual commitments with his schoolwork.
“I could go to class and I would be fasting; I didn’t pay attention,” he said. “So in physics class, when they were resolving forces, I tell you I couldn’t see the top.”
