A renowned economist and statesman, Mr Kwame Pianim, will give the keynote address at the University of Gold Coast’s (UGC) 2025 graduation ceremony on November 22.
The event, to be held at Gold Coast Hall on the Spintex Road, Accra, would see more than 650 postgraduate and professional students graduate before faculty, family and guests.
This year’s ceremony would focus on the theme “Ghana’s Economy: At the Crossroads or on the Right Path?”
“His reflections will resonate deeply with our new generation of leaders during this critical economic juncture,” Bishop Dr Gideon Titi Ofei, founder and chancellor of the institution, said in a statement.
It added, “In choosing Mr Pianim, the University has chosen a voice of wisdom, experience, and uncommon courage. His decades of service to Ghana, his deep understanding of economic policy, and his honest reflections on our national journey make him a compelling guide for a new generation of leaders.”
The university said the ceremony underscores its commitment to shaping leaders with integrity and a focus on nation-building.
“We believe that moments like this are more than ceremonies; they are turning points. They are the altars where new destinies are commissioned and new leaders are released into society,” the statement ended.
