Joy FM’s flagship late afternoon show, Drive Time, will begin airing an hour earlier at 2pm from Monday, 1st September 2025.
The show, which previously started at 3pm, has been shifted forward to allow more time for music, conversations, celebrity interviews and giveaways. Popular segments such as Footprints, Global Sports, Drive Talk and Drive Entertainment will continue to feature.
Drive Time on Joy FM will air from 2pm to 5:30pm from Monday to Thursday and 3pm to 5:30pm on Fridays.
According to host, Louis Sakyiamah, popularly known as Lexis Bill, the new start time will give him and his team more freedom to deliver the kind of engaging content listeners have come to expect.
“The influence of the show is going to be felt more with this new change. We are going to have good time; more time for music, interactions and the kind of vibe that makes Drive Time stand out,” he said.
Lexis Bill has been the face of Drive Time since taking over in 2014, building it into one of Ghana’s most listened-to radio programmes during the evening commute.
Known for his deep velvety voice, smooth presentation style, unbridled wit, and warmth, he has carved a reputation as one of Ghana’s leading broadcasters.
Lexis’ interviews, music curation, and interactive listener engagements have made Drive Time a key part of Joy FM’s line-up.
