Manchester City attacker Antoine Semenyo has been named EA SPORTS Player of the Month for February, capping an impressive first full month at the club after joining from AFC Bournemouth in January.
This marks the first time Semenyo has won the award, following a standout month in which he scored three goals and provided one assist across five Premier League appearances. He found the net against Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham, and Leeds United.
“This is a brilliant moment for me,” Semenyo said on Man City’s official website. “To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget. My focus now is on continuing to improve and helping City achieve the best possible results. We have so much to play for, and I am really excited about this final period of the season.”
The Ghana international has made an immediate impact at his new club, impressing in multiple roles, including both wings, as a forward, and in midfield.
Semenyo is also the first City player other than Erling Haaland to win the award since Raheem Sterling in December 2021. Haaland himself has claimed the accolade four times, most recently in September this season.
In addition, Semenyo becomes just the third Ghanaian to win the award, following Tony Yeboah (March and September 1995 for Leeds) and Andre Ayew (August 2015 for Swansea City).
