MTN FA Cup Semi-Finals Set: Medeama to Clash with Dreams FC, Nations Take on Aduana

The semi-final line-up for the MTN FA Cup is set following a dramatic weekend of quarter-final action, highlighted by two penalty shootouts and a stunning extra-time performance that sealed the final spot.

Medeama SC booked their place in the last four thanks to a sensational extra-time hat-trick from youngster Kelvin Nkrumah, who led the team to a 3-0 victory over Attram De Visser FC on Sunday evening at Cape Coast Stadium.

The Division One side held Medeama at bay for 90 minutes, pushing the match into extra time. Nkrumah then broke the deadlock in the 109th minute, struck again three minutes later, and capped his performance with a penalty in the 114th minute to complete a memorable hat-trick.

Earlier at the same venue, Dreams FC edged past Heart of Lions 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw. Seedorf Asante put the Kpando side ahead in the 34th minute, but Suraj Seidu equalised at full-time with a perfectly executed free-kick routine, forcing extra time. Dreams held their nerve in the shootout to advance.

In Bechem, Nations FC also advanced via penalties, defeating Berekum Chelsea 4-3 following a goalless draw at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

The quarter-finals kicked off on Saturday with Aduana FC cruising to a 3-0 win over Techiman Liberty Youth, courtesy of goals from Daouda Ben Sidibe, Alex Boakye, and Emmanuel Marfo.

The semi-final matchups are now set: Medeama SC will face Dreams FC, while Nations FC take on Aduana FC in what promises to be a thrilling race for the domestic cup.
