President John Dramani Mahama has assured residents that the 80-kilometre Jinijini–Sampa road will be completed by 2027.
He made the pledge during an inspection of the road project in Berekum West, part of his ongoing Resetting Ghana Tour.
Speaking to local chiefs and community members, President Mahama highlighted the road’s importance, noting that it will improve transportation and stimulate economic activities in the region.
“Unlike previous construction efforts that used bitumen and deteriorated within a few years, this project will use asphalt to ensure long-lasting durability,” he explained.
He added that the road is being designed as a long-term solution, built to withstand wear and tear while delivering lasting benefits to the people.
President Mahama reiterated the government’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure that meets the needs of communities across Ghana.
