Women’s FA Cup: Hasaacas Ladies Cruise Past Jonina, Face Army Ladies in Final

Hasaacas Ladies have booked their place in the final of the 2025/26 Women’s FA Cup after a dominant 3–0 victory over Jonina Ladies.

The two sides clashed in the semi-final at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday, March 21, with Hasaacas making an early statement. Milot Pokuaa opened the scoring just six minutes into the game, finishing calmly to give her side the perfect start.

Jonina Ladies responded by pushing forward in search of an equaliser, but Hasaacas remained composed at the back, keeping their opponents at bay while continuing to threaten on the counter.

Their persistence paid off again in the 38th minute when Pokuaa doubled the lead. She showed great composure to round the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into an empty net for her second goal of the match.

After the break, Jonina Ladies returned with renewed energy and created several chances, but goalkeeper Grace Banwaa stood firm, producing key saves to preserve Hasaacas’ advantage.

Just when it seemed the match would end 2–0, Hasaacas added a third late on. Sophia Bobie surged forward and picked out substitute Mary Ndali with a well-timed pass, and the striker made no mistake from close range to seal the win.

At full-time, Hasaacas Ladies celebrated a convincing 3–0 triumph to secure their place in the final.

They will now face Army Ladies in the final, setting up a highly anticipated clash between two sides also battling for the Southern Zone league title.
