Prison Transformed Nana Agradaa: Evangelist Shares Lessons in Faith and Ministry

Former fetish priestess turned evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah—better known as Nana Agradaa—says her time in prison profoundly deepened her spiritual life, bringing her closer to God and strengthening her faith.

Speaking to her congregation on Sunday, March 22, Nana Agradaa described her period in custody as a transformative experience that reshaped her outlook and gave her a renewed sense of purpose.

“I was sent to prison, but today, to the glory of God, I do not regret it. What I have gained through this journey is invaluable and cannot be bought with money,” she told worshippers.

She added that the experience has renewed her spiritual strength and reinforced her commitment to her evangelical work. Nana Agradaa said she now feels more empowered to continue her ministry with a clearer sense of direction.

Nana Agradaa was recently released from Nsawam Prison after serving eight months, following a revision of her sentence. She had originally been sentenced to 15 years in prison on July 3, 2025, after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement.

Her legal team successfully appealed, arguing that the original sentence was excessive. The Amasaman High Court subsequently reduced her sentence to 12 months, describing the initial punishment as overly harsh. She was released after completing two-thirds of the revised sentence, in line with Ghana’s remission regulations.

Reflecting on her ordeal, Nana Agradaa said the experience has been a turning point in her life, strengthening both her faith and her dedication to spreading her message.
