Greater Accra: 3 Killed, 1 in Critical Condition as Suspected Landguard Violence Rocks Banka-Busuafise

Three people have been killed and another is fighting for their life following a series of violent incidents over the past three weeks at Banka- Busuafise in the Obom-Domeabra Constituency of the Ga South Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.

Confirming the development, the Assemblyman for the Ashalaja Electoral Area, Hon. Gilbert Kwame Afekpe, told Nana Ansah that two of the victims—including an 18-year-old—were beheaded, with their bodies later discovered in an uncompleted building.

In separate incidents, another victim was reportedly shot, while a fourth person was stabbed in a nearby bush.

The attacks are widely suspected to be linked to the activities of alleged land guards in the area, sparking growing concern among residents over their safety.

One of the victims is currently in critical condition and receiving treatment.

Hon. Afekpe is calling for urgent intervention from authorities to restore order and prevent further loss of life. He also criticised the police, accusing them of failing to act decisively despite several earlier reports.

Residents say fear and tension have gripped the community, alleging that landguards are attacking people with deadly weapons, killing residents, and seizing their properties.

They are now appealing to the Inspector-General of Police, the Minister for the Interior, and other relevant authorities to act swiftly as the situation continues to escalate.
