The Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central, Hon. John Kwame Adu Jack, has donated 100 bags of cement to the Muslim community in the municipality to support the ongoing construction of the Dormaa Ahenkro Islamic Senior High School.

The project, which began in 2022, aims to provide a conducive learning environment for students in the area, particularly within the Muslim community.
Speaking during this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, the MP described the development of educational infrastructure as a shared responsibility.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the project, noting that the donation forms part of his continued support until the school is fully completed.

Hon. Adu Jack also used the occasion to call on Muslims to intensify prayers for peace, especially for Ghana and countries in the Middle East experiencing conflict.
He noted that the ongoing tensions have had far-reaching effects globally, including disruptions to key religious activities such as the Hajj pilgrimage.

The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Imam, Sheikh Zakaria Ibrahim, also addressed the gathering, shedding light on the progress of the school project.

He explained that construction began in 2022, with funding largely sourced from Ramadan conferences and donations from stakeholders and philanthropists.
Providing an update on recent fundraising efforts, Sheikh Ibrahim disclosed that a Ramadan conference held in Amasu, a suburb of Dormaa Ahenkro, raised a total of GH¢5,550,023,000 (old currency).

After expenses of GH¢308,980,000, the event recorded a net amount of GH¢5,241,250,000.
He expressed appreciation to all contributors for their continued support towards the successful completion of the school.
