Alexander Djiku completes Spartak Moscow move on two-year deal

Ghana international Alexander Djiku has completed his move to Russian side Spartak Moscow after leaving Fenerbahce.

Djiku joins Spartak on a two-year deal until June 2027, ending his stint with the Turkish top-flight side.

The 31-year-old’s move is reportedly worth €2.5 million plus potential add-ons. The Russian giants officially communicated the capture of the Ghanaian centre-back on their social media channels.

Djiku was in the Black Stars starting lineup that beat Mali on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium, scoring the only goal of the game.

Before the move to Russia, Djiku had been linked with French Ligue 1 sides, including Lille, Nice, and Toulouse.

Djiku joined Fenerbahce in 2023 after ending his stay at Strasbourg. He scored four goals in 75 appearances for the Turkish side.
