President John Dramani Mahama has inspected ongoing works on the dualisation of the Kasoa–Winneba–Mankessim highway project as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure in the Central Region.

During the visit, the President first stopped at Gomoa Buduburam to assess progress on the underpass, before continuing to Awutu Bereku where he inspected other sections of the project.

Speaking to the media after the tour, President Mahama said the completed project is expected to ease transportation challenges, attract investment into the Central Region, and create employment opportunities for young people.

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza, who accompanied the President, commended NagFairmont Construction Company for the quality of work done so far. He expressed optimism that the project would be completed by the end of the year.
