GMet Issues Thunderstorm and Strong Wind Warning for Greater Accra, Volta and 3 Other Regions

The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a weather alert warning of thunderstorms and rainfall expected to affect several parts of the country, especially along the coastal belt.

In its latest update, the Agency said localised rain-bearing clouds have formed, leading to cloudy conditions and ongoing thunderstorms with intermittent rainfall in some areas.

Regions expected to be impacted include the Volta, Greater Accra, Eastern, Central, and Western Regions.

The Agency also cautioned that the thunderstorms may be accompanied by strong winds, which could pose risks to residents and property in affected communities.

It is therefore advising the public to remain cautious and take appropriate safety precautions as the unsettled weather conditions continue.
