The Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Sulemana Braimah, has praised President John Dramani Mahama for his performance during the press engagement held on Wednesday, September 10.
Mr Braimah praised the president’s composure, energy and attentiveness, noting his ability to respond to every question posed by journalists at the event.
“I think generally, the President did quite well; there were 25 questioners who asked a total of 31 questions, and the President tried to touch on all of them. I think it was a good thing to see some of the people ask their questions in Twi, and the President also made sure that in answering those questions, he answered them in the local language. I think it was something that is beautiful and encouraging.”
He described Mahama’s posture as confident and engaging, reflecting his strength on the country’s affairs: “The President, I should say, was quite honest. The way he responded to the questions on cedi depreciation and appreciation, I think, demonstrated some depth of knowledge on the issues around how the economy is being handled, recognising that he is not an economist, and so for him to demonstrate how current he is on the development was for me, something that was fulfilling.”
